Do you know that it IS possible to enjoy anime without being a dirty little dweeb? IT IS! Indeed I am enjoying Spice and Wolf. And not only is it interesting, but it’s smart! I’ve been learning quite a bit about currency exchange, marketing, and business!
And intertwined with all of those smart goodies is a fragrant abundance of disdain for the church (no denomination mentioned) and a love for “the old ways” = pagan traditions. Holo (heroine) is a flighty, strong, Wolf God of Harvest with a hot temper. Lawrence is her traveling companion. Oh man do I want to see them get together XD
